Throughout college and my late twenties I completely let myself go.  I woke up one morning and realized just how overweight and out of shape I was.  It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what the final straw was, but my wife was pregnant with our first child and my own father’s health was deteriorating.  I knew I had to make a change in order to be the person that I wanted to be.

Shortly before my daughter was born I decided to take my life back.  I started learning everything I could about fitness, nutrition, weight loss, health, etc. and implemented everything I learned in order to change my habits.  I started eating healthy and exercising and with hard work and determination I was able to lose over 80 lbs., transforming my body and my life.  No pills, no surgeries, no shortcuts… I ate right and exercised.  That’s the only thing that lasts.

I used my newfound passion for fitness to help my friends and family lead a healthier lifestyle.  Seeing the difference I could make in people’s lives and the positive influence I could be for others motivated me to become a certified personal trainer.  In 2010, I obtained my NASM-CPT certification and began my personal training business.  I’ve been truly blessed to work with so many wonderful people since that time and provide my knowledge and support to help them on their journeys.

In October of 2013 I opened B-Town Barbell Club in hopes of being able to work with even more people on a daily basis and influence others in my community to live a healthy lifestyle.

Many personal trainers have always been fit.  They were naturally athletic and never struggled with weight.  They cannot truly understand what it is like to face the challenge of what seems like such a monumental change.  I have been overweight and I understand how daunting it can be.  I truly believe that separates me from a lot of other personal trainers.  Whether it is losing fat, building muscle, getting back into that old pair of jeans, preparing to wow your old classmates at a high school reunion, or just improving your general health and trying to be the best possible version of yourself, I have the experience and knowledge to guide you to the finish line.
